Decoding the Wansdyke
This month's Preservation Trust/Museum lecture takes place on Thursday 9 July, when Alan Soldat will be talking about ‘The mystery of the Wansdyke’.
The lecture is at the United Church in St Margaret's Street. Doors open at 7pm for coffee and tea (and biscuits) before a 7.30pm start. Tickets (£8 for Trust and Museum members, £10 for non-members) are available on the door and (cash only, please) at Ex Libris bookshop in The Shambles.
The lecture series continues through the summer: the next speaker, on 13 August, is regular Guardian Angel columnist and former Bradford resident Ralph Oswick. Ralph promises an evening of stories about a life lived to the full, with Life and Times with the Bath Natural Theatre Company and Lady Margaret.
