Portrait of a Lady

There will be a rare opportunity to meet a legend on Thursday 13 August, when former Bradford resident, and Guardian Angel and Bath Chronicle columnist, Ralph Oswick will be talking about The Natural Theatre Company – and his alter ego, the fearsome Lady Margaret. 

Travels As My Aunt: Life and Times with the Bath Natural Theatre Company and Lady Margaret is the penultimate talk in the Museum /Preservation Trust lecture series. It will take place at the United Church in St Margaret's Street – doors open at 7pm for coffee and tea (and biscuits), for a 7.30pm start. Tickets (£8 for Trust and Museum members, £10 for non-members) are available on the door and (cash only, please) at Ex Libris bookshop in The Shambles.

The final speaker in this year's lecture series, on Thursday 10 September, will be James Davies on Architectural portraits – photographing our heritage. The chief photographer of English Heritage, who photographed the buildings of Wiltshire and many other counties for the Buildings of England series, James is particularly well-known for his images of modern architecture.
